Description: The teams create a plan for their next steps. They will set goals for 10 days, 30 days, and 90 days. These goals help them move forward with their translation work. The goals also connect with their plans for discipleship (teaching new believers) and church growth.

πŸͺ Training Guide ✝️πŸ‘₯πŸ’¬πŸΆγ€°οΈ

Training Guide

⏱️ 60-90 minutes. You can start this activity together with the group. Then have the teams finish their plan in the evening. They will present their plan the next day.

πŸ—’οΈ This guide is not a script (exact words to say). Sometimes, we write out ideas to help you understand why we do activities and use pictures. You can use these ideas in your training. You can also create your own materials that work better for your group.

πŸ”¬ Trainers and leaders will talk about what their community needs. They will also talk about what is most important to their church or movement. They will make a plan for how to add Bible translation to their ministry work. They will also set clear goals for themselves.

πŸ€” This training uses problem-based learning (learning by solving real problems). Translators do not need to know about translation or program planning before they start. They will learn by doing.

πŸ—£οΈ This training uses a special type of problem-based learning. This means you learn by doing and practicing. You will work with your hands and solve real problems during the training.

Why this is important to translators: People who do not make plans will not succeed. Translation teams need a clear plan. They need to know how Bible translation will fit with their other ministry work. They also need to set goals they want to reach. Without a plan and goals, the translation project will probably not happen. Or it will take much longer than it should.

Trainer Evaluation Questions

<aside> πŸ—’οΈ

Note for Trainers: You do not want to use all of these questions. Pick 2–4 that best match what you focused on in your training. Think about your learners β€” their experience level, the time you had together, and which skills you most want to confirm they understood. If a learner struggles with a question, that is useful information β€” it shows you where more practice or training is needed. These questions are tools for YOU to measure your own training, not a test for your learners to pass or fail.
