- Why should translators read book introductions and overviews before starting a new book? Explain how this helps your first draft.
- You are starting Titus. Describe the steps you will take before drafting verse 1, including which resources you will consult and how you will use each.
- A teammate says, “I translate faster alone.” How would you persuade them to work as a team? Explain the quality risks of solo work and the benefits of teamwork.
- Your group produced three different drafts of the same verse. Explain how you would compare them and decide on one draft. Name the criteria you would use.
- Explain the difference between form-based and meaning-based translation. How would that difference change one sentence in your language? Give a simple example.
- Your chapter sounds like three different voices. How would you make it sound like one voice? Describe concrete steps you would take as a team.
- A video resource includes ideas not taught directly in Scripture. How would you decide what to include or exclude in your draft? Explain your test or rule.
- Explain how you would create a visual summary of a Bible book with your team. Why does this improve consistency during drafting?
