πŸͺ Training Guide πŸ‘₯

Facilitator Guide

⏱️ 180 minutes (Can be divided into two-three sessions)

πŸ—’οΈ This guide is not a script (exact words to say). Sometimes, we write ideas to help trainers understand activities and pictures. You can use these ideas in your training. You can also make your own materials.

πŸ”¬ Translators will learn how to study a Bible passage. They will make sure they understand what the original author meant to say. This helps them make the best translation choices for a Bible in their language. You need to choose Open Bible Stories, a book of the Bible, or a set of passages. The translators will use these for practice during this training.

πŸ€” You do not need to know anything before you start these training sessions. These sessions are good for people who are learning about Bible translation for the first time.

πŸ—£οΈ Groups talk together to find answers to problems. This helps people learn by solving real situations they might face.

❓We need to understand what the original author meant. We need to know what message he wanted to share.

🎯 Why is this important: Translators must understand what the Bible author meant when he wrote the text. They must also understand the situation when the author wrote it. If translators do not understand these things, they will use their own ideas to explain what the Bible means. This can change the real meaning of the Bible text.
