β±οΈ 240 minutes (You can divide this into three parts)
ποΈ This guide is not a script (a document you read word-by-word). Sometimes, we write ideas to help trainers understand the activities and pictures. You can use these ideas when you train. Or you can make your own materials.
π¬ Project managers will learn the important steps of project management from a biblical perspective. They will use these steps to serve their Church and translation team.
π€ Use Church Engagement and Translation (Nehemiah 8) as background to project management.
π£οΈ Participants will talk together in groups. They will find solutions to real-life problems.
βWhat are the most important things I need to know to manage a project well?

π― Why is this important: Bible translation takes a very long time. The translation project will stop if no one manages all the work. Project managers have many responsibilities. In this session, they will learn the important steps for successful project management.

Trainerβs note: A very important discussion to have with leaders, project managers, and translation teams is: βWhat are your hopes and dreams for this project?β Their answer to this question influences their needs statement which clarifies the project goal. Likely, the most effective context for the discussion would be in small groups around a meal, or someplace that is natural to building relationships. Prioritize having this discussion before starting this training session.
