Description: This practicum session helps participants discover from Scripture that the church has always been God's chosen vehicle for spreading His Word — and that locally-led Bible translation is a continuation of that biblical pattern, not a new invention.

Ministry Integration: Bible translation is the church's work. When participants see this truth in Scripture for themselves, they are more ready to take ownership of their translation project — supporting it with prayer, people, and resources. This session builds the biblical and emotional foundation for every other practicum topic.

Trainer Evaluation Questions

After the session, reflect on these questions to improve your next training:

  1. Did participants discover the three biblical truths themselves, or did I end up telling them?
  2. Were all three Discovery discussions active, or did energy drop during one of them?
  3. Did groups connect the Scripture discoveries to their own translation context during the Do section?
  4. Were the church involvement plans concrete and actionable, or vague and general?
  5. During the Sharing Practice, could participants explain the church's role using Scripture — not just opinions?
  6. Did quieter participants have space to share, or did a few voices dominate?
  7. Were there cultural moments I did not anticipate? What would I do differently next time?
  8. Did participants leave with a clear "Now What" — a specific action they will take this week? </aside>
